Core Responsibilities- Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season equipment.
- Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness, reading and following blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair.
- Installing water and fuel supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, then testing for proper operation.
- Responding promptly to power/generator alarms; on call 24/7 if necessary and answering assigned phone and email.
- Working with awareness of hazards associated with power supply equipment, switching gear, and other equipment; using safety equipment and practices; attending all designated safety and training meetings.
- 2+ years of generator maintenance experience preferred; minimum 1 year of intense work‑related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
- Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
- Requires lifting over 50 pounds, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
- Must inspect and/or troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, both audibly and visually.
- Must be willing and able to drive long distances, work day, evening, or night hours; overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must assume 24‑hour on‑call duty when assigned and be away from home for extended periods.
- Must pass a DOT physical.
Base Pay Range: $30 USD - $40 USD per hour
In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.
