ECI has an immediate opening for a Protection Engineer
. The successful candidate will deliver power system protection services, develop system and short‑circuit models, set relay parameters, conduct area‑coordination studies, develop or update standards, analyze relay operations, and review technical drawings and relay settings. The role also includes mentoring less experienced engineers through direct training and technical review.

• Develop power-system protection models and perform short‑circuit analysis.
• Create and refine relay settings and conduct relay operation analysis.
• Perform area coordination studies and standards development.
• Review technical drawings and relay settings for accuracy.
• Mentor and train junior engineers via direct oversight and technical review.

• BSEE or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years of protection engineering experience.
• Experience with SEL relay settings.
• Experience with ASPEN One Liner or PSSE/CAPE.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and planning abilities.
• Team‑oriented and collaborative work style.
• Commitment to quality, accuracy, and fast‑paced project schedules.
• Preferred: P.E. license.
• Subject to client‑mandated drug and background checks.
• Occasional travel/driving required; subject to ECI auto‑insurance carrier requirements.
• Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H‑1B) now or in the future.
