MSA has an opportunity for a Project Engineer at our Madison, WI office. This position is on our Public Works Service Line and works closely with a wide variety of Wisconsin municipal clients as a project manager for civil engineering projects. Projects may range from roads, utilities, water/sewer, site development, wastewater, and more.

Flexible working arrangements are available for this position and it also is Flex Time eligible. Flex Time is a benefit for salaried staff that recognizes when you work over 40‑hours in a work week; anything over 40‑hours converts to future time off that you can use.

Responsibilities
  • Client relations including attendance at client meetings and interaction with existing and new clients
  • Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
  • Design and administration of construction on infrastructure projects
  • Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff
  • Preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required
  • 4+ years of prior experience within the Public Works market serving multiple clients required
  • PE license required, WI PE preferred
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and client needs required
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations and requirements within Wisconsin preferred
  • Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities preferred
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position

The salary for this position ranges from $79,081 to $126,529 per year, commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
