ETC is on the hunt for a driven, curious 12-month LTE Associate Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Systems Drafting team right here in Madison!
What will you be doing?
You’ll dive into hands-on engineering work, partnering with our talented team to build BOMs, tackle electrical components for custom products, and help shape innovative solutions. You’ll also get the chance to roll up your sleeves in the lab, testing new products to ensure they play perfectly with ETC’s cutting-edge technology.

Representative Responsibilities- Carrying out the Associate Systems Engineer function relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Performing assigned project tasks under direct supervision.
- Assisting in the development effort under the direction of management and more senior team members.
- Assisting in design modifications or improvements to development projects under supervision.
- Maintaining project reference documentation.
- Assisting in development of test and verification procedures.
- May assist in continuing engineering maintenance and manufacturing floor support of existing products.
- Attending identified training classes.
- Participating as a team member, works effectively in a team environment.
- Becoming familiar with tools and applications utilized by department.
- Learning department and corporate policies, procedures and plans.
- Assisting in the design and test of custom products to project specification.
- Assisting in creating bills of materials and electricals for non-standard products.
- Maintaining project/product documentation appropriately.
- Performing compatibility testing and documenting results.
- Demonstrating ability to perform multiple tasks.
- Participating and contributing effectively to team effort.
- Participating in managing the Engineering Helpdesk.
- Delivering communication in a professional manner.
- Assisting in the research of solutions to engineering and/or production issues.
- Assisting Systems Engineers on various tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Completing special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent level of education.
- 3-5 years of job-related experience.
- Basic knowledge of electronics, electronic theories and practices.
- Ability to multitask.
- CAD skills, Auto Cad & Solidworks.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Able to use small hand, power and testing tools.
- Strong degree of flexibility and independence.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Familiar with ETC products helpful but not required.
