Primary responsibility is new product development for the Cove dishwasher brand, including design of components and systems across the dishwasher, applying fluid mechanics and heat transfer principles to enhance performance and efficiency. Supports transition of new designs into production and assists with design issues for products in production, working with production team to analyze field service data, identify root causes, and develop design solutions.
PrimaryResponsibilities & Essential Accountabilities
- Generate and convert ideas into working design solutions, 3D modeling, drafting, tooling, and testing while working both independently and within cross‑functional teams.
- Design dishwasher system components including plastic parts, sheet metal, electro‑mechanical parts, structural members, etc.
- Conduct cost analysis and other feasibility studies as required.
- Lead tolerance stack‑ups and content assessments to ensure assembly and fabrication capability.
- Manage engineering change requests to move designs through development and production release processes.
- Direct, review, and approve work done by Mechanical Designers.
- Coordinate test plans with Lab Technicians, execute performance testing, and analyze data to validate design improvements and concepts.
- Use diagnostic, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis skills to address issues related to design, assembly, reliability, quality, fabrication, and testing.
- Apply engineering calculations and systems to validate design changes.
- Self‑starter who can satisfy goals and timelines.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proficiency in Solid Works and Microsoft Excel (Excel) is required.
- FAE (Ansys), CFD (Fluent), Lab View skills are a plus.

- Bachelor’s or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3–5 years of related engineering experience
- Sheet Metal – Intermediate
- Plastics – Intermediate
- Lab View – Some knowledge
- Design experience with hydraulic systems, thermodynamic systems, finite element analysis, and CFD

This position requires a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended.
