Project Engineer

OverviewAs a Project Engineer, you will gain hands‑on experience in Estimating, Field Operations, Safety, and Project Management. The program is designed to expose engineers to all aspects of construction to develop robust knowledge, financial literacy, safety, quality, and to become well‑rounded in the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Perform take‑offs, pricing, and bid package preparation.
- Assist with bidder communications and bid‑day activities.
- Conduct constructability and spec reviews.
- Prepare and track subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Manage RFIs, change documents, and project schedules.
- Oversee close‑out activities, including punch lists and submittals.
- Support the Superintendent with scheduling, material orders, and tracking productivity.
- Manage RFIs, punch lists, and addenda updates.
- Assist with project close‑out.
- Conduct routine safety audits and jobsite planning.
- Gain insight from safety supervisors and attend OSHA training.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, interpersonal, and nonverbal communication.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach with a commitment to learning and professional growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Internship, co‑op experience, or 2+ years of relevant industry experience in project management, field engineering, or estimating.
- Exposure to construction project management, scheduling, cost management, and subcontractor coordination is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry best practices, construction methods, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
