Funds Associate – Join Husch Blackwell to advise investment funds across the United States.
OverviewHusch Blackwell is a national law firm with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This role supports attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets unit, advising corporate and securities clients and investment funds throughout all stages of their lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Advise investment funds and their investors on corporate, securities, and private equity matters.
- Prepare legal strategies, drafting documents, and providing guidance for private equity, private credit, and venture capital funds.
- Collaborate with attorneys across strategic business units to deliver high‑quality legal support.
- Manage multiple projects, articulate legal strategies, and adapt to changing client needs under pressure.
- Three to five years of experience in corporate and securities law, with a background advising investment funds.
- Experience with private equity, private credit, and venture capital funds is preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials, superior interpersonal skills, and demonstrated judgment.
- Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office or commitment to obtain one as soon as possible.
- Proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests.

Salary ranges (commensurate with experience) include:
New York, Vermont, Washington, DC – $240,000 - $285,000;
California, Colorado, Massachusetts – $230,000 - $285,000;
Maryland, New Jersey, Washington – $230,000 - $275,000;
Illinois – $215,000 - $285,000;
Minnesota – $215,000 - $260,000. Associates are eligible for performance and client development bonuses.
