Spherion Staffing, in partnership with a premier Madison‑based organization, is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer to lead their finance and accounting functions into a new era of growth. This isn't just a role for a “numbers person.” We are looking for a strategic architect who thrives on process improvement, embraces the future of AI in finance, and takes pride in mentoring the next generation of leaders.
As CFO, you will serve as a key partner to the executive team, ensuring financial health while driving innovation across systems and culture.

We are looking for leadership experience within one or more of the following sectors:
- Public Accounting
- Banking or Financial Services
- Health Insurance Services
- 15+ years in finance leadership, with at least 5 years in a Senior Leadership (VP/C‑Suite) capacity
- Active Wisconsin CPA is required
- Tech‑forward mindset and interest in leveraging modern tools (including AI) to enhance insights and productivity
- Proven track record of leading financials for mid‑to‑large‑market organizations
- Ability to be on‑site at the Middleton office at least two days per week
- You enjoy developing talent and building a high‑performing team
- You engage easily with partners at all levels and pivot quickly as the business evolves
- You have a passion for process improvement and “finding a better way”
