Job Title

FEMA – Program Delivery Specialist

Responsibilities
  • Collect, coordinate, and review applicant data to establish eligibility and priority of assignments, including audits for completeness, review of Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA) information, exploratory calls to obtain additional information, and understanding each applicant’s recovery priorities.
  • Support communication with applicants regarding status by scheduling regular meetings, tracking and following up on FEMA requests, coordinating document transmittal through FEMA’s web‑based tool, scheduling site inspections with applicants and the Site Inspector Task Force Leader, and identifying when technical expertise is required.
  • Support the claims process by reviewing and verifying damage details, scopes of work, and costs; attend FEMA meetings to provide status updates; evaluate claims and recommend eligibility; assist with the Determination Memo; communicate final determinations; conduct exit briefings; and perform other related duties as needed.
  • Coordinate and complete basic to moderately complex site inspections to validate damage for FEMA Public Assistance grant delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Domestic travel required).
  • Five years of in‑field experience, including at least two years with a bachelor’s degree.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a FEMA Badge, which includes a background investigation for a Public Trust position.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and remain flexible.
