The Certified Diabetes Educator is involved in teaching patients, families, and the community. Acts as a consultant and resource person for staff and is involved with development of clinical pathways and protocols related to patient care. This position is expected to last 8 weeks.

FTE: 0.5 | Hours per Week: 20 | Compensation: $35.18+ | Weeks: 8‑week temporary, Non‑Benefit Eligible | No weekends

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food nutrition or nursing
• OR other bachelor’s degree or master’s degree accepted by the NCBDE for CDE credential

• 2‑3 years related experience
• Individual and group teaching experience
• Developing and evaluating patient educational materials
• Working with patient’s nutritional needs for diabetes and related comorbidities

• Certification by the state of Wisconsin – Department of Registration and Licensing for the Registered Dietitian (C.D.)
• OR current license by the State of Wisconsin – Registered Nurse
• Current certification in Diabetes Education (CDE) or completion of certification within 9 months of hire
