Activities Director – Complete Care, Maple Grove

Complete Care at Maple Grove, Madison, WI invites applications for the Activities Director position. The role is full‑time day shift, serving as the creative heartbeat of our facility, designing, implementing, and overseeing a therapeutic activities program that meets the physical, mental, and psycho‑social needs of our residents.

• Program Development: develop, schedule, and lead diverse activities suitable for all residents.
• Individualized Planning: assess resident interests and preferences through regular interaction.
• Assessment and Care Planning: conduct evaluations of residents’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities and document findings in their care plans.
• Team Leadership: supervise, mentor, and collaborate with department staff to ensure programs run smoothly and safely.
• Budget Management: manage the departmental budget, ensuring supplies and resources are available.
• Community Integration: organize trips, outings, and community visits to keep residents connected outside the facility.
• Documentation and Compliance: maintain accurate attendance records, participation logs, and activity reports in compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by the Administrator to enhance resident quality of life.

• Strong preference for prior experience managing staff and leading a department.
• Proven ability to work creatively and effectively both independently and in a team.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and scheduling.
• Long‑term care activities or recreation experience required, with understanding of skilled nursing regulations.
• Enthusiasm for making a positive impact on residents’ lives.

• Certified Recreational Activity Specialist (CRA) or Activities Director Certified (ADC) OR
• Other state‑recognized certification or license for Activities Director in a long‑term care setting.
