Travel RN - Acute Dialysis

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Dialysis position, requiring inpatient hemodialysis expertise and a WI or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in an Acute Dialysis unit providing bedside hemodialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy,

• Serve a diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics in an academic Level 1 trauma center and affiliated hospital sites,

• Day shifts with 12-hour rotations starting at 7 or 8 AM and every other weekend required,

• Care is delivered at multiple locations and units within the organization, with floating and reassignment of shifts as needed,

• Use of Epic EMR is required,

• Basic arrhythmia and telemetry skills are necessary, with a telemetry test required prior to start,

Job Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required,

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association are required,

• Minimum of two years recent acute care experience, including inpatient hemodialysis in an academic Level 1 trauma center or similar hospital,

• Experience providing dialysis care to both adult and pediatric patients,

• Peritoneal dialysis (PD) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) experience preferred,

• Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the last 12 months,

• Basic arrhythmia recognition skills are required,

Additional Information

• Provide intermittent hemodialysis treatments and support services for patients requiring intensive or intermediate care,

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage the care of complex renal patients,

• Travel among multiple hospital sites is required during the assignment,

• Prior to consideration, candidates must live at least 50 miles from the primary work site,

• Travelers are the first to float and may be assigned to different units based on organizational need,

• A telemetry competency test must be passed before the assignment can begin,
