Travel RN - Acute Dialysis

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an acute inpatient dialysis position involving both adult and pediatric care, with Epic and arrhythmia experience required.

Job Details

• Primary setting is an inpatient hospital dialysis unit working with patients of all ages,

• Provides hemodialysis and support services for CRRT at the bedside across multiple hospital locations,

• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts starting at 7 or 8 AM and every other weekend rotation,

• Floating required; travelers will float first and may be assigned shifts in multiple units or at locations within the health system,

Job Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required,

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required,

• Minimum of two years of recent acute care inpatient hemodialysis experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar hospital,

• Experience with pediatric and adult patient populations,

• Experience with peritoneal dialysis (PD) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) preferred,

• Epic experience required, preferably within the last 12 months,

• Basic arrhythmia experience required and ability to pass a telemetry test before start,

• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the primary work site for eligibility,

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage dialysis care for patients in intensive and intermediate care settings,

• May occasionally travel to other hospital locations within the health system as needed,

• Parking permit required for onsite parking; alternative transportation options available,

• Must be willing to cover multiple hospitals as assignment needs dictate,
