We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Director to oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of our staffing agency’s office. This role requires a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-driven environment and is deeply knowledgeable in employment compliance, talent acquisition, and partnership development.

• HR & Compliance Leadership
  • Oversee HR functions for internal staff and placed candidates (contract/temporary employees), including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., EEO, FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, I-9).
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in line with compliance standards.
  • Partner with legal or compliance teams as needed for audits, investigations, or policy updates.
• Recruiting Strategy & Talent Partnerships
  • Develop and manage talent acquisition strategies that align with client demands and market trends.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external recruiting agencies, job training centers, universities, and workforce development organizations.
  • Proactively source candidates through strategic partnerships, networking, and outbound efforts, including cold calling potential partners or candidate sources.
  • Lead and support the office's internal HR/recruiting team, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight.
  • Monitor office performance and help implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and candidate/client satisfaction.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
• 5+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role within a staffing agency or high-volume recruiting environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and staffing industry regulations.
• Experience building external partnerships for talent sourcing (e.g., other agencies, community organizations).
• Comfortable with outbound communication strategies, including cold calling and outreach campaigns.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metric-driven, client-focused environment.
