Specialist, Talent Acquisition

People Engagement & Operations – Talent Acquisition is foundational to the success of any business. By focusing on a positive candidate experience, building a strong employer brand, and leveraging data, we ensure the organization attracts the right talent that aligns with our culture and growth objectives. As a Specialist, Talent Acquisition, you will work closely with Managers to understand their recruiting needs, post open positions, interview, and hire new team members, and assist in the administration of training programs.

You must be able to work effectively and efficiently with all company departments to ensure their specific training needs are met.

What You Will Do Here
  • Talent Sourcing, Recruitment & Career Fairs:
    Build strategies for sourcing global diverse candidates, including job postings, collegiate recruiting events, and partnerships with educational institutions. Use social media, job boards, university partnerships, career fairs and industry-specific channels to attract top talent.
  • Brand Ambassador:
    Position the company as an employer of choice. Act as an ambassador and hospitality hero to candidates, showcasing the company’s culture, values, and employee success stories in recruitment marketing materials.
  • Candidate

    Experience:

    Ensure the hiring process offers a seamless, transparent, and engaging experience for candidates from application through onboarding.
  • Selection Process & Hiring:
    Streamline and optimize the recruitment pipeline, focusing on efficiency, candidate experience, and skills alignment.
  • Skill Testing:
    In partnership with department managers, build, administer and communicate skill tests or aptitude tests to final candidates.
  • Onboarding:
    Ensure a smooth transition from recruiting to onboarding for both candidates, managers and other team members.
  • Collaborate with all corporate department managers to:
    • Discuss potential department gaps or openings and recruitings plan for their department
    • Determine key qualifications for prospective new hires for their teams
    • Develop core interview questions and desired outcomes for their department
    • Provide training opportunities for managers new to interviewing (what can and cannot be asked)
    • Participate in Enrichment Initiatives, as assigned:
      Wellness, Global Giveback and DEI+B
Talent Acquisition
  • Maintain the career center in our Talent Acquisition System.
  • Post internal and external positions via the system and through additional channels.
  • Approve and post openings on the HUB when authorized.
  • Review and qualify candidates weekly, update status as needed.
  • Keep recruiting platform notes on all applicants.
  • Ensure interview managers submit Smartsheet scorecards and notes.
  • Close jobs in the recruiting platform when filled or no longer required.
  • Send email communications and rejection notifications as required.
  • Conduct initial interviews to evaluate culture fit.
  • Research candidates through Linked In, Facebook and other social media resources.
  • Act as a brand ambassador during recruiting, interviewing and onboarding.
  • Gather salary information (kept confidential) and include it in Smartsheet.
  • Schedule follow‑up interviews with managers and provide detailed interview notes.
  • Advise CEO of candidates moving to offer and provide salary information.
  • Ensure reference checks are completed on potential candidates.
University Career Fairs
  • Maintain working relationships and contacts with preferred colleges.
  • Build partnerships to include class speakers, experts, webinars.
  • Analyze existing recruiting tools to maximize functionality.
  • Administer new employee surveys, ensuring relevant questions and timely responses.
  • Evolve training processes based on survey feedback.
  • Maintain limited‑state openings, ensuring an opening before proceeding with a candidate.
  • Keep recruiting documentation up to date in the Hub.
  • Maintain job description library for current and expanding roles.
Onboarding & Training
  • Assist the Manager of Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development in transitioning new employees to onboarding.
  • Support the build of new training within the platform as needed.
  • Provide additional training support as needed.
