Solution Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to lead the architecture assessment and modernization of a mission-critical Payment Management System.

This system supports a wide range of payment processes including ACH, credit cards, debit, refunds, and Auto Pay, and integrates with various internal and external financial systems.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, legacy system modernization, and digital payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and modernization of a critical Payment Management System, transitioning from legacy infrastructure to cloud-native architecture.
• Reverse-engineer and document existing systems to understand legacy functionality and architecture.
• Identify and map integration touchpoints with internal and external systems, producing comprehensive dependency and integration reports.
• Recommend and implement cloud-agnostic modernization strategies using AWS to ensure scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Develop a modernization blueprint including architecture diagrams, reference architecture, and a strategic roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a phased and seamless migration with minimal operational disruption.

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS microservices.
• Proven experience in legacy system assessments and cloud-native redesigns.
• In-depth understanding of digital payment systems including ACH, credit card, debit, and Auto Pay.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, NACHA standards, and data security practices.
• Strong skills in documentation, reverse engineering, and system analysis.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional).
• Experience with credit card processor migration.
• Background in financial services, banking, or insurance.
