Resident Engineer / System Administrator (Onsite - Jefferson County, MO)

• Troubleshooting and maintenance of Hexagon Public Safety software, technical support, installation and configuration
• Database maintenance, data loading, backup and purging
• General system administration duties such as installing operating system service packs and maintaining user accounts and deploying system and file updates
• Participation in upgrades, maintenance releases and service packs
• Role in Map/GIS as it relates to Hexagon Public Safety software
• Assisting customer network and IT staff with initial technical support to end users
• Coordinate with Hexagon Support Analysts when resolving system and software issues
• Perform some user interface configuration work and modification (no software programming)
• Troubleshoot end‑user problems in conjunction with the Customer Support Center
• Provide informal training for customer staff in system administration activities and maintain detailed documentation on the system and configuration

• 2 or more years of hands‑on general system / network knowledge as an administrator or engineer
• Willingness to learn new client‑server applications
• Ability to work on‑site 5 days per week during normal business hours with extended hours as needed
• Degree desired but not required; experience in Public Safety or related field preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to work both within a team and independently
• Must be able to pass and maintain favorable background check(s) and drug screen check(s)
