NOTE:
Candidate must be a CURRENT WI resident. No relocation allowed. This role is 100% On-site in Madison. On-site interview requied for second round. We can accept H1b, H4, TN and other valid work visas for IT. However we cannot accept OPT or CPT visas at this time.
Our client is looking for a Desktop Support to report directly to the IIT User Support Services Manager and will be working as part of the User Support Service, USS, support team.
Tasks
- Responsible for routine, first and second level technical troubleshooting, including determining solutions for more complex issues by leveraging documented procedures and ensuring a high level of customer service to support mission activities of the institution through information technology (IT).
- Reports directly to the IIT User Support Services Manager and will be working as part of the User Support Service, USS, support team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Able to work in a team as well as independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
10 years of experience in the following:
- Knowledge of computer software, operating systems, hardware and networking is required
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Experienced in providing professional and courteous customer service
- Experience with a ticketing system such as JIRA
- 3+ years - Relevant work experience with Windows 10/11
- 2+ years - Work experience with OSX
- Experience and knowledge of computer security
