The DNR IT Executive Program is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of a new Online Grant Management System, built on a Salesforce-based SaaS platform. Full-time commitment (40 hours/week). Senior project manager with experience coordinating external vendors, internal technical teams, and diverse business stakeholders. Reports to the DNR IT PMO Supervisor and works closely with DNR IT Strategic Partnerships, External Services Business Relations, Bureau of Finance, and Bureau of Community Financial Assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate all project activities for the Online Grant Management System initiative.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, communication plans, and tracking tools.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with vendors, DNR IT teams, sponsors, and business stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, and issues; ensure timely mitigation and escalation.
- Support and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, scheduling, communication, tester coordination, and issue tracking.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality, security, and compliance standards.
- Provide clear and timely project status updates to leadership and oversight groups.
- Coordinate cross-team activities including data migration, system integrations, environment planning, training, and go-live readiness.
- Maintain project documentation, decisions, risks, issues, action items, and change controls.
- Support project closeout activities including lessons learned, operational transition, and final reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects involving external vendors, SaaS platforms, system integrations, and data migration.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience planning and managing testing efforts, including UAT.
- Background with SaaS, CRM, or workflow-based systems (Salesforce experience is a plus).
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams on system design, API integrations, security requirements, and platform constraints.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities, scope, and timelines.
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills for issue resolution and decision-making.
- Experience training system users and developing user-friendly training materials.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce implementations or grant management systems.
- Experience working in government or public-sector IT environments.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, and Salesforce sandboxes.
- Highly analytical and self-motivated.

- Proactive problem-solver who anticipates risks and escalates appropriately.
