What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Provide expertise to facilitate the placement of accounts with admitted and non-admitted carrier partners/brokers
  • Analyze submissions and make decisions based on individual risk characteristics and exposure analysis
  • Oversee a book of business within a geographic territory and place profitable business
  • Handle new and renewal placement processes, including rating and submitting to insurance companies
  • Assist agents and staff with carrier information and general processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Demonstrated experience in account management/insurance placement for commercial and specialty personal lines products
  • Required to maintain current, active license(s) status by continuing education and meeting all state, operating, and regulatory requirements
  • Solid knowledge and application of underwriting concepts and servicing for excess/surplus coverages
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-oriented solutions or service
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience with brokerage customer service, carrier placement, and policy processing
  • Demonstrated understanding of carrier appetites and market conditions
  • Ability to consult with agents effectively
  • Familiarity with PC software applications (e.g., Internet Explorer, Outlook)
  • Experience placing profitable business
