Family Law Paralegal
An established and respected law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to support a busy practice focused on complex and high-quality legal work. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing accurate, polished work.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and prepare a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings motions, judgments, financial disclosures, asset and debt summaries, affidavits, child support worksheets, and responsive filings
- Manage attorney calendars and maintain organized, up-to-date case files
- Coordinate and schedule client meetings, court appearances, mediations, and depositions
- Act as a primary point of contact between clients and attorneys, including conducting client interviews and managing ongoing communication related to discovery
- Assist with discovery by gathering, reviewing, organizing, and tracking relevant documentation
- Prepare trial notebooks and provide support for trial preparation and scheduling
- Assemble, organize, and manage exhibits for hearings, mediations, trials, and filings, including exhibit lists, labeling, and control
- Draft, review, and organize discovery requests and responses, such as interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and other legal support staff within the practice group
- Meet annual billable hour expectations as established by the practice group
- Prior experience as a paralegal in a family law practice is required
- Degree, diploma, GED, or relevant paralegal or industry certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong ability to learn procedures quickly and adapt to established workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
- Proven ability to perform accurately under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Consistent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work product
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Hybrid work model: primarily onsite with the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week after a six-month onboarding period

$73,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
