Senior ERP Program Manager

Location: Madison, WI, Hybrid - 3 days onsite/week required

Duration: 1 year contract, looking to be a 2-3 year long engagement

Rate: $60 - 70 / hr on W2

Our utility client is embarking on a major enterprise transformation initiative and is seeking a Senior ERP Program Manager to lead the planning, governance, and execution of a large-scale ERP modernization program. This individual will be responsible for driving the overall program strategy, aligning executive stakeholders, building project governance structures, and leading the organization through a multi-year ERP transformation. This is a highly visible role that requires a strategic leader capable of influencing business and technology teams at all levels.

The ideal candidate is not simply an administrator of schedules and status reports, but a proactive program leader who can anticipate challenges, drive decisions, and deliver results across a complex enterprise environment.

• Lead a large-scale ERP transformation program from planning through implementation.
• Develop and manage program roadmaps, governance models, and executive reporting.
• Partner with business and IT leadership to align program objectives and priorities.
• Facilitate steering committees and executive-level decision-making.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and obstacles while developing mitigation strategies.
• Drive organizational alignment across finance, technology, and operational teams.
• Establish and oversee project management standards, processes, and controls.
• Coordinate multiple project work streams and delivery teams.
• Support business case development, planning activities, and pre-implementation efforts.
• Ensure successful execution of program milestones, budgets, and timelines.

• 10+ years of Project or Program Management experience.
• Proven experience leading enterprise ERP implementations or ERP transformation programs.
• Experience managing complex, multi-year initiatives involving numerous stakeholders.
• Strong executive communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transformational programs rather than simply administer projects.
• Experience building governance structures and managing executive steering committees.
• Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work onsite in the Madison area three days per week.

• Experience with People Soft, Oracle,Workday, or other large-scale ERP platforms.
• PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification.
• Utility or energy industry experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience navigating organizational change and transformation initiatives.
