Afternoon Machine Operators

We are seeking to hire Machine Operators for our valued client in Fitchburg, WI!

Let’s talk about the available shift:

• Machine Operators on 1st shift work Monday – Thursday, 6am-4pm (OT may be worked on Fridays)
• Machine Operators on 2nd shift work Monday – Thursday, 4pm-2am (OT may be worked on Fridays)

• 1st shift: $18.50/hr
• 2nd shift: $19.50/hr
• Over time pay is paid at 1.5x your rate after 40 hours per week

• Sets-up and operate any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers, and diagrams to select dies, position, and secure machinery
• Adheres to operating procedures/instructions
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors
• Communicate process and quality improvements via CPAR system
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation; follow shop 5S system
• Assist with other duties including (Packaging, Quality, Assisting Operators, Organizing, etc…) as needed.

• 1-2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing
• Ability to read and perform basic math skills including counting
• Ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools
• Stand/walk for full shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• You will be working in a manufacturing facility - standing, lifting, stretching, twisting, gripping, grasping, and reaching during the entire shift
