Manufacturing Technician

Job Overview

Manufacturing Technician – Optical Microscopes for life science imaging applications. Madison, WI. This role assembles mechanical, optical, and electrical component subassemblies and works closely with final system QA/QC and manufacturing engineering teams to deliver quality products and subassemblies.

• Assemble and manufacture instrumentation, subassemblies, and precision components.
• Test assemblies and sub‑systems by running electrical/mechanical tests on devices to ensure standards are achieved.
• Execute written SOPs and work instructions.
• Modify and fabricate parts using small hand tools and under microscope (up to 40x magnification).
• Debug assemblies or systems in cooperation with production team or engineering.
• Work with manufacturing engineering to alter or improve assembly instructions.
• Assist other departments as needed and as directed by the supervisor.
• Ensure timely completion of assignments while meeting or exceeding quality standards.
• Accurately document work performed and maintain production records.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

• Experience using basic mechanical tools and electrical testing tools.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or related experience (exact role and experience details are required).
