Position: MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN

This is a full-time Manufacturing Technician role in Madison, WI. The Manufacturing Technician will collaborate with the engineering team to manufacture composite structures, assemblies, and their respective tooling to meet specific aerospace requirements. Responsibilities include hands-on fabrication and assembly of high-quality composite components and structures. The position requires attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate tooling, jigs, and fixtures used to create composite components and sub-assemblies
  • Fabricate composite components and structures according to engineering drawings
  • Perform dimensional checks of components with calibrated measuring devices to ensure correct dimensions
  • Report defects, issues, concerns, and process improvements to leadership
  • Evaluate composite components for defects and imperfections to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Assist in planning and scheduling program needs
  • Perform structural bonding of composite components
  • Work in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with engineers and other technicians
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of experience in composite fabrication, hardware assembly, test, maintenance, material handling, and/or installation OR certificate from an accredited trade skills program in A&P, and/or manufacturing
  • Proven experience in working with various composite materials, resins, and fibers
Skills & Experience Preferred
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and regulations
  • Hands-on experience in tooling, jig, and fixture fabrication
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Experience gained through the military or within an aviation manufacturing company
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software for reviewing and interpreting designs
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment
