The Department of Health Services (DHS), Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) is recruiting a part‑time Employee Health Nurse. This position requires approximately 6 hours per day, Monday‑Friday, starting at 9:00 am or later. CWC, located at 317 Knutson Drive on the North side of Madison, provides short‑term and long‑term residential services to people with intellectual disabilities.

- Act as a consultant to physicians, supervisors, nurses and employees regarding wellness offerings and Employee Assistance Services.
- Deliver educational presentations on health‑related topics in collaboration with the Staff Development Department.
- Partner with the State of Wisconsin Wellness Program for biometric onsite testing, fit testing employees at risk with hazardous drug exposure, and educate staff on hazardous drugs.
- Participate directly in the management and care of patients within scope of license or certification and applicable laws and policies.
The starting salary ranges from $49.00 to $51.11 per hour, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. The position is a Nursing Specialist and is in pay schedule 11/02. A 12‑month probationary period is required.

Minimally qualified applicants must have:
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin (must obtain licensure by appointment).
- Experience performing employee health services (e.g., immunizations, health assessments).
- Experience leading, coaching, or providing guidance to staff.
Well‑qualified applicants may have one or more of the following:
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Experience training staff and developing educational materials related to healthcare.
- Experience providing care to patients with acute conditions (e.g., post‑orthopedic, neuro, or baclofen pump placement surgery; Down syndrome; trauma).
