Job Overview
Full‑time Nursing Supervisor – Emergency Services, Critical Care Transport at UW Health. 100% FTE, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with occasional evening and weekend shifts. Primary location: 8501 Excelsior Drive, Madison, WI with additional duty at the Med Flight base, Portage, WI.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor nursing staff in Critical Care Transport, fostering professional growth through performance evaluations, coaching, and team development.
- Promote clear communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient and family‑centered care.
- Provide strategic clinical and operational leadership within the Emergency Services department, ensuring excellence in patient care, staff engagement, and efficient daily operations.

- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN). Required. Enrollment in a BSN program with a program completion date within 24 months of hire is acceptable.
- Preferred:
Secondary BSN or equivalent education.
- Three (3) years of relevant clinical experience in Emergency Department, transport, or Charge RN – Required
- Demonstrated progressive leadership experience – Required
- Five (5) or more years of relevant clinical practice – Preferred
- Management, supervisory, or charge RN experience with demonstrated success – Preferred
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin – Required
- Basic Life Support/CPR within 6 months – Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months – Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months – Required
- Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) within 6 months – Required
- Certified Flight RN (CFRN) or Certified Transport RN (CTRN) within 18 months – Required
