Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Inpatient Cardiology Consult (Finance)Work Schedule:
75% FTE, Monday to Friday, working 7a - 5p, 3 days per week with rotating holidays and 1:3 weekends. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Be part of something remarkableAs an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to both well and ill adult patients at University Hospital.
- Work as a part of a teaching team in an academic environment.
- Provide cardiology consults in the inpatient setting in collaboration with the cardiologist.
- Provide timely communication to patients and staff for the management of patient needs.
If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program.
Preferred - Master's degree or higher.
Work ExperiencePreferred - Three years of inpatient cardiac or critical care nursing experience.
Licenses and CertificationsMinimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
If Nurse Practitioner*:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following:
Adult or Adult/Gerontology Acute Care.
If Physician Assistant*:
- Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*:
Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
