Med​/Surg | Registered Nurse Travel RN – Madison, WI

Join a collaborative nursing team as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Madison, Wisconsin. This 13-week travel nursing job offers 12-hour night shifts in an acute rehabilitation setting, where you will provide thoughtful, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families through recovery and transition planning. • Location: Madison, Wisconsin
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890–$1,990
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, approximately 36 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: Acute rehabilitation

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Wisconsin
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within eight hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and communicate pertinent updates promptly to the care team.
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care updates accurately and on time.
• Participate in rehabilitation programming and promote patient engagement, education, safety, and quality outcomes.
• Initiate discharge planning from admission and provide teaching to prepare patients and families for a successful transition.
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to nursing support staff.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and positive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
• Prioritize assignments, manage time effectively, maintain necessary supplies, and support efficient unit operations.
• Assume charge responsibilities after orientation when requested and pursue ongoing professional development.
