Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift resource pool/float position requiring at least 2 years of Med Surg experience and NIHSS certification.

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required
• At least 2 years of previous Med Surg RN experience required
• Comfortable caring for neuro and surgical patients within a medical surgical unit
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Work history/resume required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required for consideration
• License verification required for consideration
• Copies of required certifications required for consideration
• One supervisory reference required at time of consideration

• Resource pool/float position covering regional campuses within the same discipline
• Medical surgical unit caring for neuro and surgical patients
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• Contribute professional and clinical nursing knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, though local candidates in Madison may be accepted with a rate reduction
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may be excluded from consideration
