American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg RN for a night shift resource pool/float position requiring at least 2 years of Med Surg experience and comfort with neuro and surgical patients.

• Resource Pool/Float unit covering regional campuses
• Medical surgical unit caring for neuro and surgical patients
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• EMR:
  Epic
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience required
• Must be comfortable caring for neuro and surgical patients within the medical surgical unit
• At least 1 prior travel contract preferred
• One supervisory reference required, from within 2 years of employment/contract
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

• Contribute clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the periods of 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27, regardless of hours worked
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
• Local candidates are not accepted; all candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
