American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry position requiring WI or compact RN license and telemetry oncology, cardiac, and vent/transplant experience.

• Work in IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic units
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient population
• Day/Evening 12-hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm, Monday through Friday
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required including 12/24 and 12/25 with no time off approved
• Floating required as needed between units
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active WI RN or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in telemetry/IMC specialty
• Vent and transplant experience required
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required, within the past 12 months preferred
• Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting
• Skills in IV therapy, central/arterial line management, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and ABG interpretation
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and vasoactive drip titration
• Experience with wound care, insulin drip titration, and pre/post cardiac cath or surgery care

• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Must pass a telemetry exam with 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an 80% or higher passing score before starting the assignment
• Up to two exam attempts allowed; a cardiac interpretation review course certificate is required before a third attempt
• Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
• Parking permit required for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available
