Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Madison, WI This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Tier 5 surgical unit focused on Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, kidney and pancreas transplant, and robotic surgeries. The position requires hands‑on experience with complex procedures such as kidney transplants, hysterectomies, and the use of robotic surgical systems.

• Certifications:
  
  BLS, RN License (accepting pending WI license with submission), and relevant experience in Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, kidney and pancreas transplant, and robotic surgery.
• Education Requirements:
  
  Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty area required.
• Schedule:
  
  Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience in the specified field.
• Additional requirements include a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria, ability to pass pass/fail testing, and adherence to COVID-19 and flu vaccination policies (flu vaccine required, COVID-19 vaccine not required).
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required.
• Responsibilities include assisting in complex surgeries such as hysterectomies, nephrectomies, and robotic procedures, handling surgical instruments, maintaining patient safety, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols like the Universal Protocol (Time Out).
• Other clinical skills include administration of blood and blood products, infection control, and managing patient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in a high-acuity surgical setting.
