American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring prior ICU experience with craniotomy and EVD management and Epic charting proficiency.

• Work in the Neuro ICU, caring for ICU and IMC patient populations
• Day and night shift options available, 3x12 hour shifts  or ), with some 4x12 shifts accepted
• Every other weekend required, with some holiday coverage
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active RN license (WI or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• ICU experience required; neurosurgery experience preferred
• Experience managing craniotomy and external ventricular drain (EVD) patients required
• Epic charting experience required, within the past 12 months preferred
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an overall passing score of 80% or higher
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial line management, blood product administration, and ventilator management
• Experience with neurological care including CVA/stroke management, ICP monitoring, hypothermia protocol, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care
• Experience managing cardiac drips, dysrhythmias, and patients with multisystem organ dysfunction

• Provide critical care nursing to neuro ICU and surgical ICU patients, including those with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury
• Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked Wisconsin's #1 hospital
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Previous travel experience is required for this role
