American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry position requiring vent and transplant experience along with WI or compact RN licensure.

• Work in the IMC unit with additional support for the Thoracic Surgery unit
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient population
• Day/Evening 12-hour shifts from 7:00am-7:30pm, Monday through Friday with every other weekend required
• Some holiday coverage required including 12/24 and 12/25, with no time-off requests approved for these dates
• 4x12 and block weekend scheduling (Fri-Sun) may be considered
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator management and transplant experience required
• Academic Level I or II trauma center experience or similar size hospital required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start, including adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation with strict passing criteria

• Provide nursing care for telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and stepdown patients, including post-transplant care
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Limited RTO availability during the weeks of 12/22 through 1/5
• Located at a Magnet-designated, ranked #1 hospital in Wisconsin that serves as a teaching institution and referral center
• Traveler must pass telemetry exam within two attempts, with a third attempt possible only after completing a cardiac interpretation review course
