American Traveler is hiring a Neuro ICU RN requiring prior ICU experience and EVD/craniotomy management skills for a Magnet-designated teaching hospital.

• Work in the Neuro ICU, caring for both ICU and IMC patient populations
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), with some 8-hour shift options
• 4x12 schedules accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Some holiday coverage required
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Prior ICU experience required
• Neurosurgery experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required hands-on experience with craniotomy and external ventricular drain (EVD) management
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment

• Provide critical care nursing to neurosurgical and neurological ICU patients, including CVA/stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury cases
• Manage external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous sedation, and neuromuscular blockade medications
• Perform respiratory care including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and ABG interpretation
• Located at a Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
