American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Float RN for a teaching hospital requiring telemetry skills and a passing telemetry exam score prior to starting.

• Float position within the Med/Surg/Telemetry units of a hospital setting
• Covers varied Med/Surg units including cardiac, spine, neuro, and oncology
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Weekend and holiday coverage required based on operational needs
• Floating required as needed, including to Neuro and Oncology units
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active WI RN license or compact license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in Med/Surg specialty
• Epic experience required, preferably within the last 12 months
• Must pass a telemetry exam (adult and pediatric) with strict criteria prior to starting the assignment
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required

• Provide direct patient care across multiple Med/Surg specialties including cardiac, spine, neuro, and oncology
• Manage telemetry monitoring, cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Perform skills such as chest tube management, tracheostomy care, wound care, IV insulin protocols, and IV therapy
• Support post-surgical and specialty populations including orthopedic, cardiovascular, renal, and neurological patients
• Work within a Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital environment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
