American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level I trauma teaching hospital, requiring CVICU experience and Next Stage CVVH machine proficiency.

• CVICU setting within a Level I trauma teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts ) with every other weekend rotation
• 4x12 or blocked weekend scheduling available if preferred
• Some holiday coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR used, required experience

• Active RN license (WI or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in CVICU
• Level I trauma experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience and knowledge of Next Stage CVVH machine required
• Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred
• Skills in arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory skills including ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Cardiovascular skills including CABG, IABP, TAVR, and cardiac drip titration
• CRRT/CVVHD experience required, limited experience should be screened
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria

• Provide critical care nursing to post-cardiac surgery and cardiovascular intensive care patients
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Telemetry exam required prior to start, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and passing score of 80% or higher
• Up to two attempts allowed for telemetry exam, with a third attempt requiring completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
