American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry unit requiring cardiac, oncology, and ventilator/transplant experience along with a WI or compact RN license.

• Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC)/Stepdown unit of a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital
• Also supports the Thoracic Surgery unit
• Cares for telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patients
• Uses Epic charting system
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, , with 4x12 schedules also available
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed

• Active WI RN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator management and post-transplant care experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code team activation
• Perform IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Manage ventilated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Holiday coverage required, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with no time-off requests approved
• Limited RTO availability during the weeks of 12/22 to 1/5
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Located at a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized teaching hospital and referral center
