American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with Epic experience and WI or Compact RN licensure for a Level II Trauma Center assignment.

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric populations
• Level II Trauma Center setting with Level I Trauma, STEMI, and Stroke certification features
• Evening shifts (3x12 hrs, ) and Night shifts (3x12 hrs, ), with 8s as needed
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
• High acuity ED experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment (minimum six months) required, extensions highly preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam (adult and pediatric) prior to starting, with strict passing criteria
• Epic EMR experience required, ideally within the past 12 months
• 40+ bed ED experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Care for high-acuity ED patients across a broad range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies
• Perform skills such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line and central line management, intubation, and ventilator care
• Administer emergency medications including vasopressors and procedural sedation
• Manage dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and respond to cardiac emergencies
• Experience with trauma care including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations preferred
• Skilled in orthopedic splinting and management of ortho trauma preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and triage protocols required
• ECMO/ECPR experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
