American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring prior ICU experience with craniotomy and EVD management, and Epic proficiency.

• Work in the Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU of a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• ICU and IMC patient population including neurosurgical and neuro critical care cases
• Performs craniotomy and EVD management as a required skill
• Utilizes Epic EMR
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts ), 3x12 schedule with every other weekend rotation
• Will accept 4x12 schedules or Friday-Sunday block scheduling
• Some holiday coverage required
• Floating required as needed

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only
• Minimum two years of acute care ICU experience within the last three years in the specialty
• Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the past 12 months
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting
• Skilled in craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management, EVD, ICP monitoring, and CVA/stroke management
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred

• Provide critical care nursing to neuro ICU and surgical ICU patients, including post-craniotomy and neurosurgical management
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted
• References are not required for consideration
• Located at University Hospital in Madison, WI, a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked facility
