• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in all aspects of pharmacy practice, including accessing patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to maintain a positive customer experience.
• Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion products to increase sales.
• Keep counters and shelves clean, well merchandised, and inventory records up to date.
• Process returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges, and handle voids when necessary.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Support pharmacy workflow by entering patient and medication data, verifying prescriptions, counting and pouring drugs, and checking for potential interactions.
• Adhere to Walgreens policies, including Good Faith Dispensing, the Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention and process manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Provide customer service in the photo area and manage digital passport photo and poster print services.
• Assume web pickup responsibilities, monitoring orders in Picture Care Plus, picking items, and delivering them to customers.
• Maintain the store’s clean, neat, and orderly appearance and comply with all company policies and procedures.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or required state certification.
• Attend required training and complete pharmacist proficiency lists (PPLs) as directed by management, and maintain continuing education credits.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
