We believe in using quality ingredients to make quality food, and we work with local farmers and use produce from our onsite garden to develop our menus.

YOUR ROLE
As a Line Cook, you are a vital part of our culinary operations. You get the opportunity to work with a variety of unique products and ingredients that focus on seasonally and locally available items, many of which are grown onsite. You plan, prep, and execute dishes in a fast‑paced environment, sharing your skills with other cooks and chefs and learning from your teammates.
You communicate with colleagues for timing and readiness and interact with customers to ensure the best service. You will be working daytime hours, Monday‑Friday, 7:00 am‑3:30 pm, with no weekends or holidays.
JOB OBJECTIVE
The Line Cook supports daily culinary operations by preparing high‑quality dishes in accordance with established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines. This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and timeliness in food preparation while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The Line Cook contributes to a positive team culture by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
CORE DUTIES
Prepares menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation expectations.Sets up, stocks, and maintains assigned workstation to ensure readiness for service.Follows proper food handling, labeling, storage, and stock rotation procedures.Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.Assists with routine maintenance and proper care of kitchen equipment, communicating any issues promptly.Works collaboratively with culinary leadership and the broader culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.Participates in team meetings and contributes to an environment of open communication, mutual respect, and inclusion.Engages in ongoing skill development and training opportunities to enhance culinary technique and workstation performance.Supports a positive work environment by demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.Demonstrates inclusion through own words and actions, ensuring a safe workspace and acting with kindness, curiosity, and respect for others.Embraces and is open to incorporating Promega's six Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work.Understands and complies with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.KEY QUALIFICATIONS
2‑4 years of professional kitchen experience or equivalent culinary training.Strong understanding of cooking techniques, proper knife skills, and safe food‑handling practices.Ability to follow recipes and execute dishes with consistency and accuracy.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.Ability to prioritize tasks and remain calm and efficient during high‑pressure service periods.Professional demeanor with the ability to accept direction and feedback.Ability to work evenings as needed to support scheduled events.Proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, and the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with local, seasonal, and sustainable food practices.Food safety certification (e.g., Serv Safe) or willingness to obtain.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
