Position Overview

The primary function is to achieve sales growth and net hearing instrument sales while building and maintaining customer relationships. Candidates must live within the territory.

Essential Functions
  • Achieve net hearing instrument sales quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to grow current customer business, identify service issues, lower return for credit rates, and gather competitive information.
  • Prepare an annual territory business plan, reviewed and updated quarterly with the regional director and inside sales counterpart. The plan includes:
    • Sales growth that coincides with corporate goals.
    • Appropriate zoning of the customer base in the region.
  • Work effectively with inside sales to prospect, develop, and recruit new customers each month.
  • Introduce and establish new products with existing and new customers.
  • Coordinate training for customers to fit all of GN Resound’s hearing devices using GN ReSound’s software‑based programs, providing software and hardware support as needed.
  • Develop effective communication and presentation skills to convincingly present and sell GN Resound’s technology story to individual customers and large groups.
  • Utilize marketing tools and open houses to build customer business and loyalty.
  • Maintain accuracy of the GN ReSound customer database in the region.
  • Complete appropriate sales and corporate reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional standards of behavior and decorum when communicating with customers, coworkers, and representing GN Resound at professional meetings.

  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Experience with database management.
  • Exemplary platform skills.

Desired Qualifications

Preferred Education: 4‑year college degree.

Experience:

  • 3+ years in outside sales of a tangible product.
  • 3+ years B2B sales experience (non‑retail).

Travel: Up to 75%.

Pay Transparency Notice

Total annual compensation includes a competitive base pay, performance‑based commissions, and benefits. Base pay may range from $70,000–$75,000, with total annual compensation including commissions around $200,000–$210,000, depending on location and experience.
