ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Business Planning & Account Leadership – Use digital tools and data‑driven insights to create opportunities, develop strategy and tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.
  • Selling – Communicate clear, compelling messages to customers, probe needs to handle objections, and close every call with a commitment to action that drives behavioral change.
  • Customer Development – Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships based on customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise – Gather and validate key market trends, map account linkages, and apply comprehensive therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritize opportunities.
  • Reimbursement – Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics, anticipate and address payer access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial) using company resources.
  • Pharmaceutical Environment / Compliance – Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory environment, including adherence to company policies, procedures, and FDA regulations regarding promotion of pharmaceutical and medical products.

REQUIRED EDUCATION,

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to score highly on disease and product training exams, including annual product knowledge certification.
  • Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Reside within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; driving is essential.
  • Meeting and complying with reasonable industry‑standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and customer facilities.

PREFERRED EDUCATION,

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Prior experience in a specialty product sales force.
  • Experience promoting and detailing CNS/neuroscience products such as depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
  • Documented successful sales performance.
  • Ownership of fully integrated account plans.
  • Strong analytical background and experience with sales data reporting tools to identify trends.
  • Experience in product launches.
  • Experience collaborating with alliance partners (e.g., co‑promotions).
  • Leadership through participation in committees, rotations, panels, and related activities.

TRAVEL:

  • Willingness or ability to travel up to 30%–40% domestically to meet customers within the assigned territory and attend 4–8 conferences and meetings across the United States.

The salary range displayed is a national range. Salary Pay Range: $117,000–$137,000 with eligibility for a sales incentive target of $39,000. Benefits include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental and vision coverage, a company 401(k) match, a company car, and other benefits available on the career site.
