Position:
Full‑time Electronic Technician Security or Senior
Location:
Madison, WI (east side, north of Madison College Truax Campus, Wright Street). Facility includes a weight room, exercise area, locker room, indoor pickleball and basketball courts, and free parking.

Electronic Technician Security
:
Assists with repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of Direct Digital Control (DDC) applications and Security Systems (IDS, ACS, CCTV, Aiphone). Performs continual maintenance, designs reports from data, manages user access levels, and collaborates with ESS personnel on system access.
Electronic Technician Security Senior
:
Performs all duties of the entry level role plus makes recommendations for upgrades, drives reliability, and collaborates with DMA’s Area Superintendents on user access.
Entry – $28.00 to $30.00 per hour (06/64 schedule).
Senior – $31.00 to $34.00 per hour (06/63 schedule).
Pay level set at hire based on qualifications. A 12‑month probation applies. Current permanent workers receive pay per the State Compensation Plan.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Overnight travel across Wisconsin as needed.
- Background check, Common Access Card (CAC), and Secret clearance required.
- National Guard Bureau certification in Electronic Security with recertification every 3 years.
- Information Assurance Technical Level I 8570.01‑M certification required.
- No work‑visa sponsorship; U.S. work authorization required.
- New hires will report to Joint Force Headquarters on the first Monday for orientation.
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience reviewing construction or remodel plans for security system compatibility.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic security systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Managing network connections for security systems (IDS, CCTV, ACS).
- Installing and programming electronic security systems per plans and blueprints.
- Assessing effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.
