This full-time, permanent HVAC Design & Installation Manager career opportunity is with a growing commercial building automation company just northeast of Madison. The company designs, builds, and services integrated HVAC and building automation systems for large-scale commercial projects across healthcare, high-rise, office, industrial, municipal, and mixed-use sectors. Total Project Oversight
- Lead the full project lifecycle for commercial HVAC installations, ensuring projects are delivered on‑time and on‑budget
- Act as the central communication liaison between the office, field teams (foremen/superintendents), and General Contractors
- Manage project resources by coordinating manpower allocation, controlling the supply chain, and purchasing/scheduling all equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Monitor progress, conduct regular site visits and job meetings to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets, and proactively address all project issues
- Complete all necessary project documentation, including submittals, O&M manuals, and oversee final closeout activities (owner walk‑throughs and as‑built coordination)
- 5+ years of experience in a project management or leadership role within the HVAC or Mechanical contracting industry
- Proven technical expertise in HVAC design, system installation, and familiarity with relevant construction codes
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, and communicate equally well with General Contractors, field personnel (foreman/superintendents), and office staff
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with an aptitude for budgeting, scheduling, and problem‑solving
- Experience or familiarity with CAD and/or Revit is preferred
- A solid work history showing dedication and growth in the commercial construction sector
