Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Part Year* - Follows school district calendar
* Part Year includes built-in summer break, 2 weeks winter break, and spring break

QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED
- Education:
- Preferred:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related Human Service field - Minimum:
High School Diploma with completion of Family Service Credential within 18 months of hire
- Preferred:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year working with low-income, multicultural families
- Skills: Demonstrated experience in family support, community resources, case management, and advocacy
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with adequate insurance
- Knowledge of community development and family self-sufficiency approaches
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Family Outreach Worker, you'll serve as a trusted support and resource person for Head Start families by:
- Developing trusting relationships with parents using Head Start Relationship-Based Competencies
- Coordinating with classrooms to reinforce parents' role as primary educators
- Ensuring children's health, enrollment, and individualized family needs are met
- Providing comprehensive case management and social service coordination
- Promoting Family Wellbeing and strengthening Parent/Child Relationships
- Supporting Families as Lifelong Educators and Learners
- Facilitating Family Engagement in Transitions and Community Connections
- Empowering Families as Advocates and Leaders
- Using trauma-informed approaches guided by Reach Dane Core Values
- Connecting families with community resources and peer networks
