Assistant Swim Team Coach – Winter 2025

Location: YMCA of Dane County, West YMCA

Salary: $16.50/hour

Type: Part Time, Starting ASAP

Hours: 4‑9 p.m. Monday‑Thursday, 4‑6:30 p.m. Friday (flexible as needed)

• Assist the Swim Team Head Coach during practice and competitions.
• Ensure a safe environment for all swimmers and spectators.
• Provide instruction in stroke technique, starts, and turns.
• Develop and administer strong team discipline at all times.
• Prepare all meet entries and registrations.
• Attend scheduled swim meets.
• Build team leadership, encourage sportsmanship, loyalty, hard work, and respectful behavior.
• Demonstrate a cheerful, positive attitude.

• Competitive swimming experience at the high school or collegiate level required.
• Current Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR/AED certifications.
• Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification is desired.
