Warehouse Material Handling Forklift Technician

A day in this role

At our Madison, WI facility, you’ll be the steady hand that keeps product moving. You’ll start by checking your forklift, confirming it’s safe and ready. As trucks arrive, you’ll load and unload with precision, record inventory movements, and help keep the warehouse laid out for smooth flow. Throughout the shift, you’ll coordinate with teammates, stick to safety standards, and jump into brief training huddles to sharpen your material handling skills.

What you’ll handle

• Safely operate forklifts to transfer materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Organize racks, staging areas, and aisles to support efficient material flow.
• Perform routine forklift inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Work closely with team members to hit daily operational targets.
• Follow all safety protocols to sustain a safe, clean work environment.
• Participate in training to deepen knowledge of material handling systems.

What you bring

• Valid forklift license and certification.
• Proven experience with forklifts and material handling systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
• Comfort in a fast-paced setting with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy items as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
